Executive Coaching: Frequently Asked Questions
Would Executive Coaching Be Right For Me?
Almost without exception, the answer is “yes”. The reasoning is quite simple… every individual has both the need and capacity to perform better. The process of adapting to constant change, improving personal performance, clearing obstacles or eliminating recurrent problems requires help. Facing theses challenges alone, is neither a recipe for effective change or success.
What Is An Executive Coach?

strategic thinking.

What is Executive Coaching?
Coaching is a unique collaborative project between the client and the coach. Our coaching model is structured around a confidential one-to-one relationship that improves executive performance, personal effectiveness, while reducing stress. The coaching process focuses on not only on your executive leadership role, but on you as a complete person.
Coaching provides the executive with the needed opportunity to step back, seek appropriate clarity, reevaluate assumptions and experiences and gain fresh perspectives.
This joint venture between client and coach is custom tailored around you for the purpose of developing your existing base of talents and abilities… then bringing them into alignment with your background, education, formal career training, experience and available resources.
How Does The Executive Coaching Process Work?
The executive coaching process is about optimizing your personal and professional success... in direct correlation with your personal definition for success.
Today’s marketplace and economics serve to remind the executive of the critical need to develop extraordinary inner resources, resolve, knowledge and leadership skills.
Open and meaningful dialogue allows the client and coach to determine client need and then identify clear objectives. Initial meetings will address confidentiality and the mutual design of a process to achieve the desired outcomes. During the development of the clients plan, key strengths, weaknesses, deficiencies and developmental requirements will be closely examined. The use of questionnaires, assessments, interviews and performance observation may be utilized to provide added depth to the work, while revealing the executives blind-spots.
Through these protocols, the executive leader more fully develops from inside-out.
What About My Privacy?
I appreciate this important concern. Our coaching relationship is based on mutual trust. In this regard our session dialogue is completely private. Personal privacy is a primary consideration for many clients decision to conduct their coaching sessions by phone. Coaching calls typically provide decreased distractions with increased privacy. As there is no personal agenda, you receive confidential and impartial third party coaching consultations. The only focus is on the client’s success.
How Are Executive Coaching Sessions Conducted?
The coaching relationship is entirely about you the valued client. At your personal election, we may meet either by telephone or in person. Most executives do prefer telephone coaching calls as it eliminates travel and time away from their facility.
Executive Coaching International provides flexible coaching options to conform with your particular needs. We provide initial 8, 12 and 16 week session packages. The customary engagement is 12 sessions, as initial goal outcomes are typically achieved at this interval. The session schedule consists of weekly coaching calls which are one hour in duration.
Additionally, I want to be certain that the coaching process is appropriate for you, and that you will be comfortable working with me as your coach. If you have a sincere interest in developing forward, I invite you to schedule a trial coaching session to evaluate our potential opportunity to work together.
